【SDGs】クリーンなエネルギーを選び 学べる環境をつくる

学校全体で脱炭素社会の実現を目指している鬼沢真之さん。生徒たちと一緒に、保護者や近隣の飲食店などから廃食用油を集め、製油所でバイオディーゼル燃料に精製。それらを体育祭など学校行事で使用する発電機や送迎車などに使用しています。また、授業の一環で行う間伐作業で出た木の端材を薪ボイラーの燃料に活用するなど、今後は学校で消費するエネルギーを、すべて再生可能エネルギーで賄いたいと語る鬼沢さんの思い描く未来とは？

Mr. Masayuki Onizawa is working to realize a carbon-free society at his school. Together with his students, he collects used cooking oil from parents and nearby restaurants, and refines it into biodiesel fuel at a refinery. This is then used in generators and shuttle buses for school events like sports festivals. Mr. Onizawa also uses wood scrap from thinning work, which is part of his classes, to fuel a wood-fired boiler. In the future, he says he wants to cover all the needs for energy consumption at the school with renewable energy. What kind of future does he envision?
